Plainfield Fire Has Multiple Departments Respond on Labor Day

On September 2, 2019, There was a garage fire on Black Hill Rd in Plainfield at approximately 5:15 PM, where neighborhood residents heard an “explosion” just before first responders arrived at the scene which included Plainfield, Canterbury and Mortlake Fire Departments as well as American Legion Ambulance. Traffic in both directions was being asked to stop and turn around since the road was closed. The garage seemingly is a complete loss at 177 Black Hill Rd, and is under further investigation. No injuries were reported at this time.  More as it comes available.
