Plainfield 2 Car Accident Occurs Sending One to the Hospital

On July 18, 2017 at approximately 8:20 AM members of the Plainfield Police Department, Central Village Fire Department, and American Legion Ambulance responded to a two car motor vehicle crash which occurred on East Main Street in the Central Village section of Plainfield.

Upon arrival it was determined by officers on scene that seventeen year old Michael Guilmette Jr. was operating a Kia Sorento westbound on East Main Street, attempting to make a left turn into Dunkin Donuts. Pamela Gullet, fifty one years of age, was traveling eastbound on East Main Street and attempted to avoid the collision, ran off the roadway striking the Kia as well as a metal fence on the property of Dunkin Donuts.

Gullet was transported to the William Backus Emergency Room by American Legion Ambulance for a report of minor injuries.

Both vehicles were subsequently removed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
