Pachaug Pond to be Drawn Down This Winter

There will be a drawdown of at least one foot beginning September 25, 2016 and routine repairs will begin on the bridge. There will be a drawdown of at least one foot beginning September 25, 2016 and routine repairs will begin on the bridge. The drawdown depth may vary from the initial drawdown till November 1, 2016, which will be the full drawdown. At that time the drawdown will continue at three feet through the winter. The level will be raised again around the middle of March 2017. We recommend that anyone with boats on Pachaug Pond remove them before the drawdown. We appreciate the State of Connecticut DEEP responding to our request for a drawdown. We will continue to work hard to get drawdowns on other ponds. Hopeville and Ashland Ponds are on schedule for winter 2017/2018 and Glasgo would be done again 2018/2019. All drawdowns are for three feet and are scheduled to be done every three years. ill November 1, 2016, which will be the full drawdown.
