Otrobando Avenue Shut Down After Ammonia Leak

Otrobando Avenue was shut down due to an ammonia leak at US Foods, a food distributor company in the Yantic area of Norwich. The avenue was closed between Route 2 on a ramp and Wawecus Street. In response to the leak, the building was evacuated some time around 3 AM this morning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Many fire departments were called to the scene, such as the Yantic, the Taftville Fire , and the East Great Plains fire departments. In addition to this, the members of the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, Groton Sub Base, and Haz Mat Team were also called.
