One Sent To Hospital After Crash Near Plainfield High School

On August 27, 2019 at approximately 11:28 AM, Officers of the Plainfield Police Department along with members of the American Legion Ambulance and Central Village Fire Department responded to a two car collision which occurred in the area of the Plainfield High School located at 105 Putnam Road in the Central Village section of Plainfield, Connecticut.

Through investigation, it was determined that a Honda Civic being operated by 74 year old Sandra McCourt of Plainfield was traveling eastbound on the entry way of the Plainfield High School when it collided with the rear end of a Dodge Charger being operated by 42 year old Renee Bein  of Sterling which was stopped at a stop sign located at the intersection of the entry way to the Plainfield High School and Putnam Road.

Bein was subsequently transported by American Legion Ambulance to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Room where she was treated for suspected minor injuries. This case remains under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
