Norwich Police: Shots Fired at Norwich Gas Station During Altercation

On March 3, 2020 at approximately 1:19 p.m., the Norwich Police Department patrol division responded to a report of a disturbance located at 406 West Main Street. Early 911 calls also stated there were possibly shots fired. Arriving Officers and Detectives located a victim who was treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a physical fight.
The preliminary investigation indicated that a physical altercation occurred at the Citgo Gas Station. During the altercation an unknown male fired a handgun at a vehicle and then fled the area in a vehicle.
It is believed the assault was a targeted act of violence. The Norwich Police Detective Division is actively investigating the incident.
