Norwich Parent Arrested After Leaving 1yr Old Unattended In Car

On July 16, 2018 at approximately 1246 hours members of the Norwich Police Department responded to the parking lot of McDonalds 109 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT for the report of child unattended with a vehicle.

Arriving police personnel located a 1 year old unattended child sleeping in a child safety seat inside of a hot dark colored vehicle. The vehicle was not running at the time and the windows had been partially rolled down. The accused parent was located inside the restaurant.  The child was transported by American Ambulance to Backus Hospital for precaution.   DCF has been contacted and is conducting their own investigation.

 

Accused: Dolma, Dawa,   45 YO

                8 Carlson St. Norwich, CT

 

Charges:  Leaving a Child Unsupervised

                Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree

 

Court Date:  Norwich Superior Court 07/17/2018

                        

Bond: $5000.
