North Grosvenordale Man Attacks Thompson Man with Baseball Bat

Scott Beaulieu, 53,  of North Grosvenordale was arrested at approximately 4:16 on Monday for striking an acquaintance with a baseball bat on the head, according to Connecticut State Police.  The victim, a Thompson man called 911 for assistance and when Beaulieu found out that the call had been made, he made further threats to the victim and then threw the bat into the woods in order to stop Troopers from finding it.  Beaulieu was charged with 2nd degree assault, threatening, breach of peace, as well as interfering with an emergency call and tampering with evidence.  Beaulieu was arrested and held on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.  He will appear in Danielson Superior Court on November 16th.
