On June 2, 2017, at approximately 2300 hours (11 pm), Trooper Cash #1062 and Trooper Bimonte #965 observed a number of motor vehicle violations occur from a vehicle traveling east on Route 6 in the Town of Chaplin. HERRICK was arrested and charged under C.G.S. 14-227a, Operating Under the Influence; C.G.S. 14-219B, Speeding; C.G.S. 14-96C, Failure to Have Tail Lamps; 14-17a, C.G.S. 21a-279(a)(1), Possession of a Controlled Substance; C.G.S. 21-267(a), Drug Paraphernalia; C.G.S. 21-257, Narcotics not kept in Original Container; C.G.S. 21a-279, Illegal Possession of Narcotics; C.G.S. 29-38, Weapons in Vehicles.
