Multiple People Sent to Backus After 2-Car Crash in Plainfield

On March 10, 2020, at approximately 3:19 p.m., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department along with the Plainfield Fire Department, American Legion Ambulance and American Ambulance responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash on Norwich Road in Plainfield.

A 2001 Saturn SL1 being operated by 26 year old Katie Molzahn, of Plainfield was traveling southbound making a left turn into a local business on Norwich Road when a 2010 Nissan Rogue being operated by 44 year old Amy Gauthier of Plainfield, CT traveling northbound subsequently struck the passenger side of Molzahn’s vehicle.

Molzahn was transported by American Ambulance and Gauthier and her juvenile passenger were transported by American Legion Ambulance. All parties were transported to Plainfield Backus Emergency Department with possible minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
