Multiple People Arrested After Firearm Theft in Moosup

On July 3, 2018, Detectives from the Plainfield Police Department Special Investigations Unit, arrested the accused 26 year old Nathan Rose of Baltic, CT, at the Danielson Superior Court. Rose was involved in the theft of two firearms and jewelry that was reported on January 17, 2018. Rose, along with two other individuals entered the residence located at 84 Lake Street, in the Moosup section of Plainfield, when they stole the items. One of the suspects involved, 28 year old Justin Johnson, is the son of the homeowner and was staying at his father’s house temporarily when the theft of the firearms was reported.
On July 5, 2018, the accused 29 year old Franklin Post of Bozrah, CT, was arrested as he was being released from the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center located in Uncasville, CT. Post, along with Johnson and another individual entered the residence located at 84 Lake Street, on January 24, 2018. The suspects kicked in the door while the victim was at work and stole a safe containing a firearm and jewelry. Johnson, fled the state of CT and is believed to be in the state of West Virginia.

Throughout the investigation, Detectives from the Plainfield Police Department, were able to recover two of the firearms. This case remains under investigation and more arrests are pending.
