Multiple Ambulances and Other First Responders Respond to Wauregan Auto Accident

On September 13, 2020 at approximately 6:15 P.M. members of the Plainfield Police Department, Atwood Hose Department, K&B and Mort Lake Ambulances responded to a two vehicle crash in the area of South Chestnut Street and Route 205 in Wauregan, CT. A 911 caller reported the two car crash stating they believe there were injuries.

Upon arrival on scene both vehicles were across Route 205 facing northbound and all occupants were out of the vehicles. The operator of the Chevy Silverado was identified as 40 year old Michael Miele of Brooklyn, CT who reported that he was not injured. The operator of the Chevy Impala was identified as 26 year old Brittany Blanchard of Danielson, who along with her three juvenile children and 27 year old passenger George Cameron were all transported for suspected injuries from the crash.

Through investigation on scene it was determined Miele was traveling eastbound on Route 205 and Blanchard was traveling northbound on South Chestnut Street. Blanchard was attempting to cross over Route 205 when the crash occurred.

Although there were many people out in the area no witnesses have come forward at this time. Anyone with any information is requested to contact the Plainfield Police Department at 860-564-0804

This crash remains under investigation.
