Retirement was too much for Alan Geer.  He left his post as borough warden in 2015 and decided not to run for office again claiming he was going to finally retire.  After having 2 years to think about it, Geer has once again decided to run for Borough Warden, an office held by John Connelly for the current term.  Connelly, the former Griswold Elementary School teacher is also stating that he is going to be retiring after this term himself.

Geer has served one term as Warden to date and as many as four terms as Borough Burgess.  “I’m concerned about the borough, and I want to put my experience back to work.”  Geer feels that the borough is “stuck” and wants to move it forward.

Geer will be in attendance at the Democratic Town Committee Wednesday evening to submit his letter of intent
