Moosup Two Car Collision Sends 2 To Hospital

On October 12, 2019, at approximately 3:38 p.m., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department along with the Central Village Fire Department, the Moosup Fire Department and the American Legion Ambulance, responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of East Main Street and the southbound off-ramp of Interstate 395.
A 2003 Buick Century operated by 65 year old Linda M Malarkey was traveling southbound on the I-395 off-ramp when she crossed the intersection of East Main Street. A 2009 Kia Rio operated by 28 year old Brittany Gregoire was traveling westbound on East Main Street when both vehicles collided. Gregoire and her juvenile passenger were transported via American Legion Ambulance to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Department for treatment of minor injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
