Moosup Man Breaks Conditional Release Agreement, Gets Re-Arrested

On November 20, 2019 the Plainfield Police Department arrested Alec Ramsey, 23, of Moosup, CT.

At approximately 9:14 A.M., members of the Plainfield Police Department were dispatched to an address in Moosup after receiving a 911 call from a third party reporting a domestic dispute.

Upon arriving on scene Officers spoke with the victim who stated that she was assaulted by Ramsey who fled on foot prior to police arrival. Ramsey was subsequently located at Cumberland Farms in Moosup and placed under arrest.

Ramsey was transported back to the Plainfield Police Department where he was processed and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault 3rd Degree, Strangulation 3rd Degree, Unlawful Restraint 2nd Degree, and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. Ramsey was initially held on a $20,000.00 bond but was transported to Backus Hospital due to a medical condition where he was released into hospital care on a $50,000.00 non-surety bond at the request of the States Attorney’s Office. Conditions of release were set with Ramsey scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court, G.A. 11, on November 22, 2019.

On November 21, 2019 the Plainfield Police were dispatched back to the same address in Moosup after the victim stated Ramsey had returned to the area of her residence. Ramsey was located and placed under arrest.

Ramsey was processed and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd Degree, Stalking 3rd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree, and Violation of Conditions of Release 1st Degree. Ramsey is being held at the Plainfield Police Department on a $100,000.00 bond pending his arraignment at the Danielson Superior Court, G.A. 11, on November 22, 2019.
