Moosup Man Arrested on Warrant For Trying To Grab Officer’s Gun, Roommate Causes Disturbance And Gets Arrested Too

On November 12, 2021 members of the Plainfield Police Department arrested 27 year old Kenneth Floyd Jr. and 56 year old Daniel Laframboise both of Moosup CT.

The Plainfield Police Department had an active and valid court issued arrest warrant for Floyd from an incident that occurred on October 28, 2021 during which Floyd called 911 giving only his address before disconnecting. Upon arriving at Floyds address to investigate the 911 hang-up Officers made contact with Floyd who became uncooperative and attempted to grab an Officers firearm. Floyd was assaultive towards Officers but was detained after a brief struggle and subsequently transported to Day Kimball Hospital.

A warrant was submitted and granted for Floyd. On November 12, 2021 at approximately 9:57 A.M., Floyd was subsequently placed under arrest. As Floyd was being transported to the Plainfield Police Department in a marked police cruiser his roommate Laframboise ran from the sidewalk jumping in front of the moving cruiser enraged causing a disturbance. At approximately 10:07 A.M., Laframboise was subsequently placed under arrest.

Floyd was charged with Assault on a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct and released on a $25,000.00 bond. Laframboise was charged with Interfering with Police and released on a $10,000.00 bond.

Both Floyd and Laframboise are scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court on December 6, 2021.
