Mass Man Arrested at Dayville Kohl’s for Shoplifting and Risk of Injury

On 09/19/2017 Patrol Troopers from Troop “D” Danielson responded to KOHLS in Dayville to investigate the report of an active shoplifter. Upon Troopers arrival, Thomas Mazzilli of Webster, MA was observed on security cameras concealing merchandise and tampering with anti-theft devices. Mazzilli had a young child with him. After a lengthy on scene investigation, Mazzilli exited the store, while wearing the Nike running shoes he stole from the Shoe Department. Mazzilli was also found to be in possession of a stolen “Loved and Blessed” bracelet. As the investigation continued it was discovered that the young child which accompanied Mazzilli during his theft spree was his child. Mazzilli was later found to be in possession of Illegal Narcotics as well. Mazzilli was placed under arrest and transported to Troop D where he was charged with the following: Larceny 6th Degree, Possession of Illegal Narcotics, Narcotics w/o Container and Risk of Injury to a Minor. Mazzilli was held on a $7,500.00 cash / surety bond and is scheduled to appear at GA-11 Danielson Court.
