On 12/12/2019 at approximately 1434 hours, Troopers assigned to Troop G Bridgeport conducted a traffic stop on Whalley Avenue in New Haven. Troopers observed a white Ford F-150 with a sovereign citizen license plate affixed to the rear. Upon attempting to stop the accused vehicle, the operator proceeded through several traffic intersections at a slow rate of speed failing to acknowledge the Trooper attempting to stop him. The operator proceeded to pull the vehicle into the Walgreens parking lot on Whalley Avenue and parked the car in an appropriate parking space. The operator refused to cooperate with Troopers on scene and stated he would not provide any form of identification. The operator was placed under arrest as a result of the above information and was later positively identified as 54 year old Dean Lee. Lee was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle in addition to one count of Refusing To Be Fingerprinted. Lee was unable to post a $10,000 dollar surety bond and was transported to the New Haven Correctional Center. Lee is scheduled to appear at the New Haven Superior Court, on 12/13/2019.
