MAN POINTS HANDGUN AT ANOTHER MAN’S HEAD, ONE ARRESTED

On October 31, 2016 at around 11 am, Troop D Troopers responded to the report of a disturbance at a residence in the Town of Sterling. An on-scene investigation revealed that an altercation took place between two men, where one of the men pointed a .45 caliber handgun at the head of the other. Troopers quickly diffuse the situation before anyone was seriously injured. As a result of the investigation, several firearms were seized and entered as evidence at Troop D. John D. Provasoli Jr. (DOB 08/05/1964) was placed under arrest and transported to Troop D for processing without incident. Provasoli was charged with violating C.G.S. 53a-61aa – Threatening in the 1st Degree and 53a-182 – Disorderly Conduct. Provasoli was held on a $20,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled to appear at GA-11 in Danielson on 11/01/2016 at 0930 hours.
