Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy says he absolutely, will not, sign a budget passed by the Democratic controlled legislature that wasn’t negotiated with his office.
Malloy stated that he will veto whatever the General Assembly passes before the session ends May 4 and will most likely call lawmakers back to the Capitol for a special session to fix the proposed budget for a special session.
The Democratic majority legislature submitted a plan which covers the entire $922 million budget deficit.
There is no timetable as to when an agreeable budget might been reached.
