The race for the 18th District State Senate seat in Connecticut is starting to kick into a higher gear as the endorsements start to roll in for the candidates.

Bob Stachen, who is running on the Democratic ticket opposite incumbent Republican, Heather Somers, has recently picked up the endorsement of Connecticut’s Lt. Governor, Susan Bysiewicz.

Bysiewicz calls Stachen a friend in a press release she states,” I’m so proud to endorse Bob because he’s a person who’s been a strong advocate for small businesses. He’s practiced law and helped both entrepreneurs and small businesses get access to capital, and help them create jobs. In addition, for the past 10 years, at Western New England Law School, he has supervised law students doing pro bono work, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs.”

The release also states that Stachen has served America in the United States Air Force, and was on the ground in Saudi Arabia, and also Bosnia. He is a member of our Connecticut National Guard, and is currently serving our state during the COVID-19 pandemic, managing logistics in Eastern Connecticut
