Local Women Arrested for Drug Possession, One Was already on Parole and Gets Sent Back to Jail

On November 25, 2016 at approximately 5:30 PM, Troopers from Troop D conducted a motor vehicle stop on Winter Street in the town of Danielson. During the traffic stop, Troopers became suspicious that the driver and the passenger were involved in narcotic activity. A subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle occupants were in possession of over 30 prepackaged bags of both crack cocaine and powder cocaine in addition to (51) Perc 30 narcotic pills (Percocets 30 mg). The driver, Samantha Holly (w/f 6/6/1985), who was out on parole, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics. Megan Szablewski (w/f 04/20/1978) of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and interfering with a police officer. Holly was remanded to the Department of Corrections, Parole Division and Szablewski was held at the Troop D barracks on a $100,000 cash/surety bond. All items of evidence were seized, transported back to the barracks and secured in the Troop D evidence room. Both are to appear in Danielson Superior Court on December 7, 2016.
