LifeStar Needed in Assistance with 2 Car Accident on Starkweather Rd in Plainfield

On 06/06/2016 at approximately 12:32 P.M. members of the Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Department, Moosup Fire Department, and EMS personnel responded to a two car accident with injuries on Starkweather Road.
Stephanie Januszewski, 29 years old, of Salem, CT was operating her 1998 Honda Civic traveling South on Starkweather Road. Marcia Huhta, 76 years old, of Moosup, CT was operating her 2006 Grey Mazda 3 with a passenger, Matti Huhta, 76 years old, of Moosup, CT traveling North on Starkweather Road. The two cars subsequently collided head-on in the roadway.
Januszewski was transported by KB Ambulance to Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT with suspected serious injuries. Januszewski was later transferred by Lifestar to Hartford Hospital.
Matti Huhta was transported by American Legion to Backus Hospital in Plainfield, CT with suspected minor injuries. Matti was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital.
Marcia Huhta was transported by Lifestar to Rhode Island Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
This accident is still under investigation.
