Large Reward Offered After Plainfield Theft At Local Business

There were a pair of burglaries over the weekend, one in Plainfield and one in the borough of Jewett City. The Plainfield crime happened at K&H Construction on Route 12, 2 AM on Sunday morning where 2 men entered the property with a silver or gray pickup. They hooked up to a trailer, and then loaded a woodchipper and a riding mower along with other tools that were taken out of their service truck. The owners are even offering a $10,000 reward for the information leading to an arrest and conviction of these criminals. If you do have any information, please contact Joe at K&H Construction or the Plainfield Police Department.

In what could be a related story, just again around 2 AM a pickup truck, which fits the description of the truck that was at K&H, pulled in to Country Farms in Jewett City. A man got out of the truck and used a hammer to try to break in through the front door and adjacent window. After a few attempts and the suspect falling to the ground after one strike, he got back into his truck and drove off. Nothing was stolen from Country Farms…
The case remains under investigation with Plainfield Police and Connecticut State Police.
