Killingly Woman Arrested For Possession After Failing To Stop at Intersection

On 02/05/2018 at approximately 8:53 pm, Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force Troopers stopped a vehicle on Attawaugan Crossing in Killingly for failure to obey a stop sign. Troopers approached the car and interviewed the driver. During the interview, Troopers observed several indicators of criminal activity and became suspicious that drugs may be in the car. Consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted and Troopers began a search of the vehicle. During the search, Troopers located and seized Suboxone and one plastic baggie containing approximately 10 grams of heroin. Troopers arrested Shannon Evans (DOB 12/17/1976) of Country Club Road, Killingly, CT. Evans was transported to Troop D and charged with Possession of Narcotics 21a-279(a), Possession of Narcotics WITS 21a-278(b) and Failure to Obey a Stop Sign. Evans was placed on a $5,000 cash/surety bond and is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 02/21/2018 for the above charges.
