f23c0b0877d48fb3d13efa335fa0e58b Geni Derosier, a 2002 Killingly High School graduate, is set to step through the doors of the school next year, not as a student, but as the girls basketball head coach. After graduation Derosier coached the Connecticut Storm AAU basketball program and was head coach for the Windham High School field hockey team, before going on to attend Mitchell College, from which she graduated in 2006. Before moving to Boston, Derosier was the Killingly girls JV basketball coach. Derosier returned to Connecticut recently and coached freshman girls JV basketball for Woodstock Academy and coached the Connecticut Breakers AAU program.

Mark Lowell, the departing Killingly girls basketball coach is leaving after five seasons to pursue a career in law enforcement. His departure opened the door for Derosier to return to her alma mater.

Best of luck to the Redgals and Derosier in the upcoming 2017 Eastern Connecticut Conference season.
