K-9 Ambrie Assists in Another Drug Arrest

On 11/15/2017 at approximately 6:04 pm, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Mazda MX-5 for a motor vehicle with an expired registration. QLTF Troopers approached the vehicle and interviewed the driver. During the interview, consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted. K9 Ambrie, a narcotic sniffing Labrador, was with one of the QLTF Troopers on-scene. K9 Ambrie was deployed and strongly alerted to the driver’s waist band area. The driver, 46 Year old John Goyette of Danielson admitted he had drugs in his pants and turned over a plastic bag containing approximately ¼ of an ounce of cocaine. Goyette was arrested and transported to Troop D and charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine With intent to sell. Goyette was held on a $10,000 cash/surety bond and is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 11/16/2017.
