JEWETT CITY, CONNECTICUT, October 16, 2018… Jewett City Savings Bank will donate $5, up to $1,000, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut for every submitted selfie taken at the new sunflower-themed mural at the Bank’s drive-up ATM at its Main Office at 111 Main Street in Griswold.
The selfies must use the hashtag #SunflowersForWishes and be posted to Facebook or Instagram before October 31. “Our Sunflower Selfie fundraising challenge pays tribute to the annual Buttonwood Farm Sunflowers for Wishes event that benefits Make-A-Wish,” said Kevin Merchant, president and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank.
“It also encourages our friends and neighbors to visit our Main Office to see the field of sunflowers mural on our ATM painted by Norwich artist Faith Satterfield. We were proud to be the first to participate in the sunflower mural program celebrating Griswold as the Sunflower Capital of New England, and we are more than pleased to raise funds to help grant more wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
Information about the mural and how to ensure that the selfies submitted are publicly available can be found on the Bank’s website at JCSBank.com/SunflowerSelfie.
