Important Dates to Remember

June 19, 2019 – Annual Town Budget Meeting The budget has been approved by the Board of Finance for fiscal year 2019-2020 and has been sent to the Board of Selectmen in which a special meeting was held on 6/13/19 to set the date of June 19. All Griswold residents are welcome and urged to attend this important meeting to be held at the Griswold Middle School Auditorium. The meeting will start at 6 PM

June 24, 2019 The Town Clerk’s office will close for one hour, 12 PM-1 PM Daily until July 1, 2019

June 26, 2019 – Budget Referendum Griswold residents will vote to either accept of deny the proposed budget put forth by the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen. Voting will take place at Griswold Town Hall, 28 Main St, Jewett City (District 1) and Pachaug Town Hall (District 2). The polls will open at 6 AM and close at 8 PM. The budget carries an increase to the mil rate of .65

June 27, 2019 – Griswold Tax Office Closing The Griswold Tax office will close on June 27 to close out fiscal year 2019 and remain closed through June 28. The office will once again re-open on July 1, 2019 at 8:30

July 4, 2019 – Independence Day Griswold Town Hall will close on July 4th and 5th in observation of Independence Day. Town Hall will re-open on July 8, 2019

Every Thursday – Veteran’s Coffee House The Town of Plainfield invites all Veterans to the Plainfield Senior Center, 482 Norwich Rd, Plainfield. Veterans come and enjoy Free Coffee from 9AM – 11 AM, tell stories, and meet some new friends. The Coffee House is open to all Veterans from Plainfield and surrounding towns.
