-HOME INVASION IN WOODSTOCK, K9 LUKA LOCATES BOTH SUSPECTS IN THE WOODS, BOTH ARRESTED

On December 21, 2017 at approximately 8:30 PM, Troop D Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Pond Factory Road in Woodstock for a report of a home invasion. Troop D dispatchers received a report that two males armed with a large knife had broke into the house. When Troopers arrived, they learned that the two suspects had fled on foot into the woods. One of the responding Troopers located a suspicious vehicle unoccupied on Dodge Road. Meanwhile, K9 Luka began an extensive track into the woods in an effort to locate the two suspects. K9 Luka located the two males in the woods between Pond Factory Road and Dodge Road and recovered a machete, two box cutters and a black bag containing duct tape, zip ties, masks and gloves. The two men, identified as Benjamin Bellavance (DOB 8/14/92) of Thompson and Adrian Flores (DOB 6/3/1983 ) of Putnam were placed under arrest and transported back to Troop D. Both parties were processed and charged with home invasion, criminal mischief, unlawful restraint and breach of peace and held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond. Both are to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 12/22/2017.
