On 12/12/2017 at approximately 7:42 pm, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Cadillac CTS on Main Street in Thompson for a motor vehicle violation. QLTF Troopers approached the vehicle and observed the driver, identified as 30 year old David Colon, of Manchester, CT, reach into his waistband. K9 Ambrie, a narcotic sniffing Labrador, was then deployed to sniff Colon’s person and alerted to his waistband area. Colon then admitted he had hidden heroin in his waistband and turned numerous bags of heroin over to the Troopers. Colon was charged with Possession of Heroin, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License and Improper Signal. Colon is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 12/27/2017.
