Kevin Lagace, 24, of Canterbury, was arrested Tuesday morning, after police and emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Route 6 and South Main Street in Brooklyn for what was reported as a medical emergency.
Lagace was seen slumped over the steering wheel at the intersection. After emergency personnel arrived, they determined that Lagace was not in a medical emergency situation, but there was evidence that Lagace had “shot up heroin” prior to driving.
Lagace was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and use of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is due in court on March 1.
