Hazardous Moving Violations A Focus on This Years State Police 2019 Holiday Enforcement

Connecticut State Police started their holiday road enforcement on December 20, 2019 and through December 26th they have had 6700 calls for service, responded to 458 accidents , 2 of which were fatalities. 35 D U I as well as 795 hazardous moving violations which include distracted driving, unsafe lane changes, following too close among others. The big difference in statistics so far this year are the hazardous moving violations where there were only 46 tickets issued in 2018 as apposed to the 795 in 2019. The enforcement period well continue through the new year
