Griswold Wolverines Seniors Shine Against Lyman Memorial

The Griswold Wolverines boys basketball team was at home, facing Lyman Memorial Friday night. It was senior night, and the senior players were honored before the game. Griswold had four seniors, Bryce Mileski, Max Gregory, Mason Rubino, and Logan McGeowan. Griswold faced a tough task, after losing to Lyman Memorial earlier in the season. The Wolverines were up for the challenge. In the first quarter, Max Gregory six points, while Bryce Mileski had 5 points. Griswold led 20 to 14 going into the second quarter. Bulldog Point Guard David Lopez, helped close the gap, scoring eight points in the second quarter. The Wolverines held a 39 to 32 lead at halftime. Mileski helped keep the Wolverines in the lead, scoringĀ nine points in the third quarter. Entering the fourth quarter, Griswold led 57 to 48. Max Gregory and Bryce MileskiĀ  lead the Wolverines to victory. Griswold beat Lyman Memorial, 76 to 64. Max Gregory lead the Wolverines, with 28 points. Bryce Mileski was second in scoring, with 19 points. Both Logan McGeowan, and Mason Rubino were key contributors on defense, though they didn’t register any points. The Wolverines finished the season with 12 wins, and 8 losses. They will play in the postseason, but the date and times of the games, have yet to be announced.
