Griswold Falls to Old Saybrook, 5-2, in Boys Lacrosse 2018 Season Opener

The 2018 GHS Lacrosse season kicked off on Saturday, March 31, 2018 with a home contest against Old Saybrook, falling 5-2 in the season opener. The Wolverines fought hard against a more seasoned and experience Old Saybrook squad and scored one of the teams 2 goals on the day in the first 1 minute and 17 seconds into the contest by senior Hunter Barnes, and assisted by freshman goalie, Seth Hurt. Senior Nick Raposa also scored for the Wolverines. Raposa said of the score, “I was about 25 yards out and took the shot. I didn’t even know that it went in until the whistle was blown.” Raposa’s goal was unassisted. Seth Hurt had 15 saves for the Wolverines at goal.

The Wolverines next Lacrosse contest will be at home on April 5, 2018 against East Lyme.
