Griswold and Plainfield were the 2nd game on tap for the Griswold Holiday Basketball Classic.  Both games were back and forth with Montville coming out on top of Windham Tech in the opening contest (who Griswold plays tonight in Windham which has nothing to do with the tournament) in a regular season game.

Pharaoh Curtis led the scoring attack in the 52-49 win for the Wolverines with 17 points.  Nick Gileau, the Wolverines best scorer so far this season was held to just 4 points.  Both Gileau’s buckets came in the 1st quarter and he didn’t score after that.

Griswold had a hard time containing Markeith Conyers of the Panthers, who scored a game high 31 points, hitting from just about every spot on the court including a couple of stop and pop NBA distance 3 point goals.  “We played better tonight than we have played all year” was the comment from legendary Plainfield Head Coach, Bob Arremony.  “I was happy with the way the team played.”

SNSN will be carrying both the game for 3rd against Plainfield and Windham Tech.  That game starts at 6 PM on Saturday and Griswold vs Montville for the championship after that, approximate start time, 7:30 PM
