Four Minors Arrested After High Speed Chase Overnight on Route 2

night at approximately 1:40am, the Connecticut State Police were involved in pursuit of a Gray Lexus in the vicinity of Colchester’s exit 17. The Lexus was travelling towards Norwich was clocked at 89 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. The Trooper caught up with the Lexus and it refused to stop once the cruiser’s lights and siren were engaged. The Lexus exited Route 2 and ended up crashing in the vicinity of 164 Fitchville Rd. Four juveniles were arrested and transported to Troop K in Colchester for processing. One of the minors was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, interfering with an officer, possession of narcotics, as well as larceny of a motor vehicle. The other 3 were charged with interfering with an officer and larceny 6th degree.
All four were released on a juvenile summons from Troop K. All four are expected to be in Hartford Juvenile Court, June 27th.
