Former NFA Coach Arrested for “Inappropriate Relationship” With Students

On September 12, 2018 at approximately 1100 hours the below listed accused was placed under arrest on an arrest warrant issued as a result of an investigation into a report made to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in June 2018. The initial report alleged the accused had an “inappropriate relationship” with a student of Norwich Free Academy while he was employed as a coach at that school. Further investigation revealed the accused had sexual relations with two students of Norwich Free Academy beginning in 2017 while he was on staff as an athletic coach at the school.
The identities of the two victims are protected and will remain confidential. The arrest warrant is sealed as this investigation is ongoing.
On September 12, 2018 at approximately 1430 hours, under the direction of the New London County State’s Attorney’s Office, the Norwich Police Department served a search and seizure warrant at Norwich Free Academy with the assistance of the FBI Computer Analysis Response Team and the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit. The investigation is remains open and active at this time. The search warrant is also sealed at this time in this open investigation.
