Former Connecticut Governor, Dan Malloy recently was stopped by Connecticut State Police while traveling on I-395 in Plainfield after he was clocked at 86 MPH.

According to a press aid for the former governor, the traffic stop was said to be done in a very professional manner and was treated like any other traffic stop.  Malloy was given a speeding ticket for 85 MPH instead of the clocked speed of 86 which State Police could have given him a reckless driving charge.

Malloy now serves as the University of Maine System Chancellor. Trooper Robert Desjardins was the lucky Trooper to have issued the ticket to the former governor.
