Driver Hits Multiple Mailboxes and Guard Rail in Central Village Auto Accident

On July 22, 2018 at approximately 1:04 PM members of the Plainfield Police Department, Central Village Fire Department, and American Legion Ambulance responded to a one car motor vehicle crash in the area of School Street in the Central Village section of Plainfield, Connecticut.

Upon arrival it was observed that a white Volvo XC70 had crashed into a guardrail. Prior to striking the guardrail witnesses stated that the vehicle had traveled off the roadway and struck multiple mailboxes in the area of Black Hill Road and School Street. The operator, Diane Caron (71 years old), of Central Village, Connecticut was subsequently transported to Plainfield Backus Emergency Care Center for treatment of minor injuries.

This accident will remain under investigation.
