Driver Fails to Come to Complete Stop Strikes Ambulance

On Thursday morning Just before 7am, members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cemetery Rd. and Norwich Rd., Plainfield, CT. Prior to police arrival they were notified that an ambulance was involved in the accident.
Through investigation it was determined that a 2007 Honda Accord operated by Brooke Brouillard, 17, of Brooklyn was traveling eastbound on Cemetery Rd. when she failed to come to a complete stop at the red traffic signal located at the intersection of Cemetery Rd. and Norwich Rd. The vehicle traveled into the intersection and struck the rear passenger side of an oncoming American Legion Ambulance who had its emergency lights and sirens activated proceeding through the green traffic signal. Brouillard and her two passengers were not injured. The ambulance was occupied by three medical personnel including the driver Logan Taylor, 27, and a patient who was uninjured from the accident.
Brouillard was subsequently issued an Infraction for Failure to Obey Stop Signal.
