Dog Bite in Wauregan Causes Serious Injuries, Police Need Help Finding Dog

On September 2, 2017 at approximately 4:45 PM members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to William W. Backus Emergency Care Center located in Plainfield, Connecticut for a report of a female who suffered serious injuries due to a dog bite.
Through investigation officers were able to determine that the dog bite was sustained in the area of South Walnut Street in Wauregan. The dog was described as a gray pit bull type dog with a possible white spot of fur on its front paw.
Despite speaking with multiple residents in the area the dog involved has not been identified. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the dog or owner please contact the Plainfield Police Department.
