COVID-19 Update: Less People Admitted To The Hospital Over The Past Week

The latest numbers are showing some improvement in conditions with COVID-19, without giving false hope, I will let you decide… the number of positive tests in Connecticut is currently 23,100 with 71,497 tests administered. Remember the number these numbers are only meant to give you one thing. The percentage of people that have been tested that have come back positive. The percentage as of April 23 is 32.30% which is down a tick from April 22nd. Another 95 deaths were reported as well bringing the total to Connecticut to 1,639 with 56% of those being in the over 80 senior population. A new model posted on Tuesday night, actually projects that Connecticut’s ultimate death toll will be at 2,884 by summer 2020.
There were 25 people less in the hospital with COVID-19 in Connecticut than yesterday, and New London County is down by one.
Please note as well that the Governor has an executive order on face coverings for everyone in the state when out in public where a 6 foot social distance space is unavoidable.
