MIDDLETOWN, CT (December 24, 2018) – The Connecticut State Police is on duty this holiday week with increased patrols that began at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 and will continue until December 26, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. Troopers are patrolling roads and highways across Connecticut focusing on drivers operating under the influence of alcoholic beverages and/or drugs as well as violations committed byaggressive drivers.
Through Noon on Christmas Day, seatbelt violations are up over last year as well as 2 fatalities on Connecticut roadways. Overall calls for service are down to this point from 2017.
The increased enforcement period lasts through midnight on Wednesday, December 26th
