Canterbury Woman Rolls Car After Avoiding Deer in the Roadway

On December 6, 2018, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department, along with the Plainfield Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance responded to a one car rollover crash on Weston Road in Plainfield, CT

Rebecca Lussier, 19, of Canterbury was operating her 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on Weston Road when she stated she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle. Lussier’s vehicle subsequently went up an embankment and overturned in the roadway.

Lussier and her 16 year old juvenile passenger were both transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital for possible minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
