Brooklyn Man Arrested after He uses a Frying Pan During a Domestic Dispute

On January 17, 2017, at approximately 9:20 PM, Troop D troopers responded to a residence in Brooklyn for a reported disturbance. Troopers determined that Jason Wilbur got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend where he tackled her to the ground and hit her with a frying pan. Wilbur than grabbed a machete and threw it at the female victim which nearly struck her. All this happened in the presence of a minor. Troopers arrested Wilbur and transported him to Troop D where he was processed and charged with the following: criminal attempt at assault in the 1st degree, assault in the 3rd degree, risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment the 1st degree, breach of peace, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief 3rd degree and possession of a dangerous weapon. Wilbur was held on $100,000 cash/surety bond will appear in Danielson Superior Court on January 18, 2017.
