Brooklyn Drug Arrest

Danielson, CT (February 16, 2016): Troopers from the Troop D-Danielson Quality of Life Task Force (QLTF) arrested two people after observing a drug deal in Brooklyn.
On February 15, 2016 at approximately 6:25 p.m., the QLTF was conducting surveillance of the Walmart parking lot in Brooklyn after receiving information that individuals were using the Walmart parking lot to deal narcotics.
QLTF Troopers observed suspicious drug activity near a parked vehicle, and approached to investigate. Troopers spoke with the vehicle operator, Zachary Eckard. Eckard admitted to having drugs in the vehicle and that his girlfriend had gone into Walmart to sell a bundle (10 bags) of heroin in the female bathroom.
Troopers located the female, Jamie Dube, in Walmart. Dube subsequently agreed to surrender herself and the heroin. QLTF Troopers Took Dube into custody, and seized the bundle of heroin.
Troopers also took Eckard into custody and seized an additional bundle and a half (15 bags) of heroin, six Methadone pills (10mg), and 40 Hydromorphone pills (2mg) also known as Dilaudid.
Dube and Eckard were transported to Troop D where they were processed and released on bond. The Heroin, Methadone, and Dilaudid were also transported to Troop D where they were held as evidence.
