Backpack Drive to Benefit Local Schools

Long time Griswold resident, Jenna Marquis is holding an ongoing backpack drive now through August 20, 2016. Backpacks will be filled with the essential school supplies  and distributed to students with need in Griswold Public Schools, Norwich Public Schools, Lisbon Public Schools, and Plainfield Public Schools!  This is Marquis’ first year organizing the Back Pack Drive and her goal is 400 backpacks provided. Her hope is to donate 100 backpacks to each of the schools listed. The following is a list of supplies that are needed: backpacks, pencils/pens (blue & black only), notebooks, binders, crayons, colored pencils, glue, glue sticks, page dividers, book covers, rulers, pencil boxes, calculators, scissors, dry erase markers, composition notebooks, erasers, highlighters, tissues, sharpies and any other appropriate materials.
