Arrest made in Moosup Bestway Armed Robbery

PLAINFIELD SEAL On October 29, 2016 at approximately 5:42 PM members of the Plainfield Police Department responded to the Best Way Gas Station located at 2 Prospect Street in the Moosup Village of Plainfield, Connecticut after receiving a 911 emergency call regarding an armed robbery.

The suspect entered the Best Way Gas Station at approximately 5:43 p.m. and brandished a knife demanding the money from the store clerk. The suspect then left the store on foot at approximately 5:45 p.m. and was said to be traveling in a northbound direction on Main Street. The suspect was described as being 5’8’’ to 6’ in height, with a slim build. The suspect was seen wearing a dark colored hoody sweatshirt and work jeans.

Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect as, Cody Lester (W.M DOB 4/20/1995), of 245 Bedlam Road in Chaplin, Connecticut. Lester was also responsible for and confessed to the robbery of Valero
