Armed Bank Robbery in Woodstock Has Detectives Looking To Identify Suspect

On March 23, 2018 at approximately 1:43 p.m., Troop D Troopers responded to a reported armed robbery at Bank Hometown located at 148 Route 171 in Woodstock, Connecticut.

Bank employees reported that a lone male entered the bank, approached a teller station displaying a dark colored handgun, and demanded money.

The subject is described as a white male, approximately 5’6″ to 5’10” tall with an average to husky build. He was wearing a dark colored zip up sweatshirt with white shirt underneath, blue jeans, dark colored sunglasses, a red winter style hat, blue latex gloves, and a dark colored bandana that concealed the lower portion of his face.

The subject exited the building after receiving the money and fled on foot to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle is described as a light colored four door sedan of unknown make and model. It fled the bank parking lot onto Route 171 heading west.
